Privacy policy

The short version: there are no accounts, nothing you do here is sent to us, and analytics only run if you say yes.

1. Who is responsible

{{owner}} operates {{domain}} and is the data controller for the limited personal data described below. You can reach us at {{email}} about anything in this policy.

2. What we do not do

3. What is stored in your browser

The site keeps a few values in your browser’s local storage so it behaves sensibly on your next visit. This data stays on your device, is readable only by {{domain}}, and is not personal data we ever see.

reinsurly-v1
Which terms you have marked as learned and how you answered each quiz question.
reinsurly-theme
Whether you chose the light or dark appearance.
reinsurly-consent
Your cookie choice and when you made it, so we do not ask again on every page.

You can clear all of it at any time: use “Reset my progress” on the atlas page, or clear site data in your browser settings.

4. Analytics

If you accept analytics in the cookie banner, we load Google Analytics 4 to count visits and see which terms are studied most. It is configured with IP anonymisation, and it is not loaded at all until you consent. If you reject or later withdraw consent, the script is not loaded, analytics is disabled and we clear any analytics cookies we can reach.

Google acts as our processor for this and may transfer data outside your country under its standard contractual terms. Details of what those cookies are and how long they last are in the cookie policy.

5. Hosting and server logs

The site is static and served by our hosting provider, which keeps standard web-server logs — IP address, request time, page requested, browser user agent — for security and troubleshooting. That is a legitimate interest in operating a website securely. We do not use those logs to identify or profile visitors, and they are retained only for the provider’s standard period.

6. Fonts loaded from Google

Typefaces are loaded from Google Fonts. Your browser therefore requests those files from Google’s servers, which means your IP address and user agent reach Google when a page loads. If you would rather that did not happen, blocking fonts.googleapis.com at the browser level leaves the site fully usable with fallback typefaces.

7. If you email us

The contact page opens a message in your own email application; nothing is submitted through this website. If you do write to us, we keep the message and your address for as long as needed to deal with the enquiry and any follow-up, and we do not add you to any mailing list.

8. Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to ask what personal data we hold about you, to have it corrected or erased, to object to or restrict processing, to withdraw consent, and to receive a copy in a portable form. Because we hold almost nothing — essentially only correspondence you have sent us and our provider’s server logs — most of these requests are quick to answer.

Write to {{email}} and we will respond within one month. You may also complain to your local data protection authority if you are not satisfied.

9. Children

This is a professional study tool and is not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 16.

10. Changes

If this policy changes materially we will update the date at the top of the page and, where the change affects analytics, ask for your cookie choice again. Continued use of the site after a change means you accept the updated policy.
